I created Census1, Census2, etc... to Census8. I type in the year of the census in the date. One I find them I type in the location. In the notes I put the information off the census sheets. Age, occupation, etc ... If I have not found them yet I put a question mark in the location. That way I can do a search and find all ? and get a list of what I need to search for. I know someone else on the list created a 1790, 1800, etc.. event. Both would work well. If you woul like me to send you a Legacy file with a few of my individuals so you can see what it looks like I would be more than happy to do that. You could play around with searches and see if it works for you.
