Martin,

I am doing the same as Sherry. I keep all my data on one machine (A), but
always seem to use the other one (B). I save the backups and my web site
master on the (B) machine so as to minimise chances of losing data.

But two words of warning
- don't try editing on both machines! Legacy does give you a warning if you
open the same file on 2 machines, but doesn't physically stop you carrying
on.
- don't shutdown or reboot the machine with the data until you shut down
Legacy on the other one. I've done it several times and luckily not lost any
vital data YET.

Jack

Martin,

As long as you have Legacy installed on both computers and share the Legacy
files, you should have no problem accessing the file on the computer where
the file is stored from another computer on your network. I'm currently
looking at the Legacy file stored on another computer from my computer.

Thanks for using Legacy.

I have just upgraded my PCs to XP Pro so that I can use offline folders. I
am trying to work out if there is a way that I can share my LEGACY database
between the two PCs. Presumably the path information is stored in the .FDB
file and the paths will be different on the two PCs.
