So why not simply copy those one at a time to the event clipboard, 
paste to the correct person, then return to the original and delete 
that event.  Note: you mustn't delete the old one until after it's 
pasted.  This method will retain your sources and any attached files 
such as graphics, etc.

If you feel you need to export to another file and import back then 
export the affected individuals to a Legacy file and import that back 
in.  Never use a GeDCom for Legacy-to-Legacy transfers unless going 
to an incompatible older version.
