Hi Sherry I just went back to check and for some reason, I didn't receive your response in October. I apologise for jumping to conclusions.
I believe that my friend was using Acrobat Reader v6. (Whereas you used v5.) She said at the time she had no trouble with other PDF files. Since there is so much confusion now with different version of Acrobat - I don't know which version any recipient of my files might be using to read them - I will still avoid generating any in Legacy. On 24 Oct, I wrote to you: "Both files opened just perfectly for me using Acrobat Reader v5. I'm wondering if they were corrupted in the transfer to your friend somehow? Can you open them ok? Does she have problems with any other pdf files?" You had reported "They looked OK when I opened them, but when I sent them to my friend, she couldn't open them. She got a message saying 'error - Cannot be repaired"." It's possible that you never received my response as I never heard anything back from you. Thanks for using Legacy. I had sent a friend Legacy generated PDF files and she could read some and not others. I sent the offending ones to Sherry, but didn't get a reply.
