I would like the same ability too. Uploading does take a long time even with FTP.
However, there is one thing that you can do. But I believe that this depends upon which web page style you are creating. I create "pedigree" styles. Even though only one page has changed, you can create all of the ones in your set as you normally do. As long as you know which person has updated information, then you can just upload that one person's page since there is a one-to-one relationship between people and pages. The name of the file (for example, 1.html) refers to the person's number in your Legacy database. If it's a new person, then it's a new page in sequential number order and can easily be found. Likewise, the surname and source lists are in separate files and can be easily uploaded individually. Same with the names lists - 1 file per letter of the alphabet for surnames. I've been looking at GED to HTML programs, such as PhpGedView and DftCom2, but I don't like the way the output is formatted. My complaint with using the Legacy Family Tree web output is the difficulty encountered when an update is required. It generates a big bunch of html files, and they all have to be regenerated and uploaded. The uploading is a pain because there are so many files. Anyone have any ideas around this? Thanks.
