Hi Jack and others,

I suggest you find out how to give Legacy permission to contact the internet through your firewall or get a different firewall that you understand if you are running XP. Turning it off is not a sensible thing to do. There are some nasties out there that infect computers that aren't firewalled.

It doesn't take more than a minute or two - how do I know? My husband fixes computers and was re connecting one to the internet a couple of months or so back after reformatting - and had forgotten to turn on the firewall (the SP2 firewall is on by default - until you turn it off - but this was XP not yet updated) - and it was infected with one of the worms (Blaster) in a trice.

Cheers,
Cathy

I had exactly the same problem, so I turned of the Norton firewall, and it
installed ok.

Regards

Jack.
