Hi Barbara
Believe me I truly began to hate some of the things about FTM but in 7
March 2000 my newly found cyber blood cousin also living here in Sacramento
put LEGACY on my computer. In 1998 I had a massive stroke that left my left
side mostly paralyzed. Sat for a year and watched TV [gag] till hubby says
just try the computer, so having been the ADMIN of 28 ROOTSWEB mailing lists
, I tackled the over 500 messages by getting rid of the spam first then
answering the yes-no letters and by then I was ready to do the really
important ones by making a template letter to send to explain.
I lost all of my mail lists but today I have 10 and my love for the
computer and genealogy has me to a point that if I were to be miraculously
healed, I would probably miss the 6 to 6 time on the computer.
Anyway back to LEGACY the first thing that I noticed was the superb
merging qualities still love it today. Then one day I had 50 names to enter
so I did the 50 names test and for typing one-handedly I fell in love right
then and there.
Also typing one-handedly I looked for keyboard shortcuts there are many
but extremely east to remember. on the family view I just type "EM" and I
can edit marriage "EH" edit husband "EW" edit wife "C1" edit first child and
so on . In this way I entered over 3500 names from 15 October to 1 Jan this
year. Besides where would you find another genealogy program where you can
ask any question and the program developers are there in case you need them
one word
ENJOY
Sandra Tyler Duncan
