LouAnn, Like Ron I am slightly confused by what you are trying to do. - What type of web pages are you creating (Ancestor, Descendant, Pedigree etc)?
As has been said the file names used are the RIN numbers. The easiest way is to create all the options for one set of pages with the results to be saved in a specific folder (the project name). Then save the options. Use that to amend the options to create your next set (with a different project name) in a different folder and save that as well - etc. The reason for saving the options is that you can then reload the specific set of options for each branch and ensure they don't accidentally overwrite another set. You will then have the web pages created in a number of separate folders, not interfering with each other. You will then need a "hand-built" web page so that you can allow people to access the various branches (e.g. your real home page). I do something similar for my trees - which I happen to keep in different Legacy files. But the end result is the same as if they were part of the same file. Example : The web-site on your machine is to be in c:\website\ For the first tree in "create web pages" on the "project" tab use browse to choose c:\website\. Give the project a name - e.g. smith. The files will all be created in c:\website\smith\. For the next branch the project name could be called "brown" and the files will be stored in c:\website\brown\ (I know Legacy will deal with mixed case as you wish, but it is simpler to keep everything to lower case as the web is case specific) Now you need a file c:\website\index.htm (create it with Word, Frontpage or whatever you wish) which has hyperlinks to c:\website\smith\index.htm and c:\website\brown\index.htm If you want to see how I did it look at www.jearnshaw.me.uk . The way I created the home page was to copy the "homepage" created for one of the branches and then edit it so that it looked just the same as a Legacy created page. I am having trouble making new webpages for each of several lines in my database. The files are always named the same, and so when I upload them to my Geocities site, the new one overrides the old one. So I end up with the new surname index and table of contents linked to my old webpage instead the right ones, which are gone, overwritten. Is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks so much for any help!
