now what do I do?" Can someone give clear simple instructions
as to how to open the program and prepare it to receive data from
the .fdb file? -- Alice

Why don't you send her a backup (.zip) file of your family database,
and show her how to do a "File>Restore Family File" to her computer?
That should be easier than setting up directories etc for the .fdb
file. Refer to the "Tips" on Legacy's web page for more help in
backing up and restoring family data.

Thanks, Kraig. I have just done that. Sure seems a lot simpler to
me. She is reading the instructions at the website and trying to
understand. We will see how it goes. -- Alice
