I understand that this IGI Search feature is still in the works, but I
jumped on the LUG bandwagon and decided to try my luck.

While the computer was running the search, I clicked on "View Matches"
for an individual. (I could still hear the clicks of matches being
made in the background.) I wanted to copy the names of the matched
individual's parents into the general notes of my individual. So after
copying the names into memory, I then clicked on "Edit Left" and then
the individual's Notes icon. When I went to click on "Save", I
immediately got a "Runtime Error" message (didn't write it down), and
Legacy closed down.

I use Windows ME (notorious for memory issues...), and had just
rebooted the computer, updated the Legacy install, and then run the
IGI search. I did have Netscape and AOL (ouch) running, too.

When I rebooted just now, I found my IGI search matches intact, the
Parents notes were saved to my individual, and everything seems fine.

So my question is - was I simply low on memory which caused this to
fail? Or is it a bug, and we should not edit individuals while running
searches? I'm rather reluctant to test this again... but probably will
since it is a good use of time while the search is plugging away.

Thank you,
Susan Daily
