Barbara: Sure looks like French-Canadian ancestry to
me! I am descended from no less than *five* children
of an original immigrant to Quebec, Pierre Simard dit
Lombrette. Talk about a twisted ancestry. I keep
myself straight by printing a series of pedigree
charts, so that each line is represented back to the
immigrant. Start with yourself and print a 6
generation pedigree chart. Then, print pedigree
charts for persons 16 through 31. This takes care of
the majority of the lines. If not, I write the final
generation or two on the back of the pedigree charts
numbered by hand 16 - 31.
I've also printed myself an index to direct ancestors
and label them, line 16, line 17, etc so I know where
to find them in my pedigree charts.
Hope this helps, Deb
