Paula, You set the ancestor colors based on a particular individual under Tools > Apply Ancestor Colors. That selection continues until you go back to that menu item and reset the colors.
You can change the Male/Female colors or the 4-Line colors to use whatever ones you want. The 4-line colors are based on the Mary E.V. Hill system. Click on the Help button when in the Custom Color window to find instructions on how to change the colors Thanks for using Legacy.
