When you say that "I then starting viewing the results and correcting my
Database starting alphabetically thru the list until the last IGI search
had ended", do you mean that you updated your Legacy database with
findings from the IGI Search?

Subject: [LegacyUG] IGI Search / Tag / Untag capability

Hi!

I have been using the IGI search capability and it is great!
Thanks for all of Legacy's developer's efforts!

As always, we users always need just "one" more tweak -- here is my
problem:

I first Tagged all my ancestors with Tag #1.
I then started a search of all tagged #1 folks (in my case, it is over
30,000 folks) and needless to say, I stopped the search with many people
remaining to be searched. (Note: I only used 5 hits / person in the
search
-- but it was still too long to wait till the end.)

I then starting viewing the results and correcting my Database starting
alphabetically thru the list until the last IGI search had ended.

So, I am ready to restart my search say from "Oliver Lummy", who was the
last completed IGI search person, and finish the complete list.

What I want to do is "Untag" everyone before Oliver Lummy
(alphabetically) &
leave all the others with tag #1.
Then I want to restart the search on only those with tag #1 using the
Filer
option.

The problem is, how to untagged the already completed IGI search
folks????

The only way I can find is to manually do one at a time. For a few
hundred
people, this would work, but not for 1,000s of people.

Is there an IGI "Completed" Search tag associated with everyone that
could
be used?

It is not clear how to tag folks with say Tag #2 who are alphabetically
less
than (<) "Lummy"+"Oliver".
If I could do that, then a combination of Tag 1 & 2 will get the results
that I need.

Any ideas out there??

Chap
