John I too now use Brother's Keeper as 'backup' to Legacy. BK was my primary program prior to switching. I like BK for the ability to print the relationship to an individual to all others in the database in reports. Unless/until Legacy gives us the ability to do this I'll keep BK around.
Being Legacy is my primary program now, I keep it updated. If/when/as I need BK's assistance for some reporting tool I GEDCOM out of Legacy the sum total of the data and IMPORT into BK. I find it much easier than, like you mentioned, trying to update BK as I used to do also. I've found no loss of data via this method. gc On Tue, 22 Mar 2005 16:49:11 -0000 "John Murray" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: <snip> > How do I keep BK updated from LEGACY.
