I bought the CD & Users manual because my wife wanted the manual. I've been 
using Legacy for almost a year now and haven't opened the manual. (Neither 
has my wife). I'm sure if you are a manual reader type then it may be of 
benefit to you. I am the "read the manual as a last resort type" and rely 
mostly on the help feature within Legacy and this list. I believe you can 
get answers to most of your questions here.

Just my thoughts....
