You might take a look at www.tribalpages.com ... I have several family websites there ... the basic version is free (with some ads).


There are $12 and $24 (annual) versions which have more features and more storage (and no ads).

I don't use the online tree-building or data entry ... about twice a month, I update the sites with a fresh GEDCOM file from Legacy.

Pictures have to be uploaded one by one and then attached to a person (or persons), which is a pain.

        My family likes it because it's easy to navigate and understand.

You can password your site and suppress details on living persons. I show the name and date of birth, but I believe you can just show living.
