Ok... here's how it works. The sentence override won't accept all my
notes because of space limitation. HOWEVER, after I enter whatever the
sentence is I put [Notes] at the end of the actual sentence. This is
not in the "edit event sentence definition" window, but the "sentence
override" window. Voila.
Thanks all

Linda,
You tracked the problem down to having used sentence override, but it
seems a bit strange to me that you aren't getting ANY notes for
events. It occurred that you might be using Sentence Override for all
of your events. Is this the case? I rarely use Sentence Override -
only if the Sentence Definition just doesn't work for one particular
instance of an Event. So then I wondered if you are using Sentence
Override needlessly. Do you realise that to actually change the way
an Event Sentence reads you can make changes to the default Sentence
Definition, and that those changes 'stick' for every use of the Event?
Now, back to your actual query about how to get notes to appear when
you DO use the Sentence Override - if you want the sentence to read :
John went to school at Brown Street School from 1923. He was dux of
his class in etc. etc. etc. whatever else your notes say.
You need to put the following into the Sentence Override box:
[FirstName] went to school [atPlace] [fromDate].[Sources] [Notes]
Of course, this assumes that you have entered Brown Street School in
the Place field, and 1923 in the Date field.
