I have many years of experience and in the UK it is standard practice and
yes you should refrain from using remarks as in your last sentence totally
uncalled for.

I can only conclude this poster (1) does not have much experience with
e-mail since bottom posting has been the **standard** for a good 15 years;
and (2) must think that just because Micro$oft decided to implement their
software contrary to standards (which is the Micro$oft modus operandus) it
must be okay.

I'm afraid the majority of people who use Micro$oft products display their
computer illiteracy with posts like this.
