Thanks for that Susan. I'm not particularly computer literate and found the 
specs for the handhelds a bit overwhelming. Am now tending towards your 
combination - it sounds easy!

I use an iPAQ with Pocket Genealogist. How great it is. I would probably
be the most incompetent computer user around, but have no trouble, Have
been using for nearly 2 years now, and find most useful when I go
somewhere to do research and have all my info there with me,
