Hi Sherry,
I guess technically the question is off topic, but then again I think an argument could be made for Legacy users helping other Legacy users maximize the value they perceive when they use your product for the specific purpose of organizing the very information the question was about. When I started doing research again on my family history, one of the first things I did was realize I needed a way to organize and document the information I was searching for. But as a budding genealogist, I have had more questions than answers on how to find the information I am looking for. The fact that there are so many genuinely helpful users of your wonderful product and that so many of them share so freely on this list is a major benefit of using Legacy.
If the conversation was about why there are so few honey bees in the orchard this year, that would probably be off topic. But asking questions of the community of users about how to find the information we are seeking when we use your product is pretty close to the mark in my opinion. The signature at the bottom of your messages says "We are changing the world of genealogy!" Hopefully, that doesn't mean you want to limit it to the topics you feel are appropriate.
However, I understand this is your listserve, and if you feel the thread is inappropriate, so be it. Is there a more suitable place on the web where these questions could be posed?
Best regards, Ken Leavitt
