I just bought a USB memory stick (called a flash drive or jump drive, has 256 MB capacity) down at Best Buy. I bought it so that I have a way to store microfilm or book images from my trips to the library and Family History Center.
But I got to thinking... Is it feasible to install a copy of legacy on the flash drive, and use it on the library or Family History Center computer? If so, I can have access to my whole database while I'm doing research! But... I don't know if legacy updates the registry or whatever. CAN I do an install to the flash drive, give that copy my deluxe customer number, and carry all I need from computer to computer?
