A change was made a couple of releases ago to rename Read/Write as Load/Save on the General Notes screen. This then stopped the shortcut ctrl-S working to save and exit Notes. This was then fixed in the next release to revert to Read/Write for loading or saving the Notes to a text file.
It seems that the same problem has happened with Marriage Notes.
