I've not had this problem but have you tried file>file maintenance>check
repair ?

Using the latest Legacy 5 release, 12 Jun 05, Version is: 5.0.0.247,
When I hit the Report button at top of family screen to go to the
report menu, Legacy freezes. I have to do an Alt-Ctrl-Del to to get
out of Legacy.
I am using Windows XP with SP2.
Has anyone seen this problem?
Is there a fix?
