Janet, Here's how I add this sort of info. Of course you can customize to your preferences.
You can add any number of "spouses" to an individual by using Add->Wife or Add->Husband. Then select View->Spouse List and select which spouse you want to work with. You can then change the marriage info for that relationship and add their children. For the unmarried couple: Click on marriage information and change the marriage status to: Unmarried Change left label to: Father and right label to: Mother Change Report phrases - Person 1 to: had a relationship with A person can also have more than on set of parents in the case of adoptions. If the child is later adopted then you can add the adoptive parents and change the parental relationships to the child (biological / adopted) for each of the child's parents.
