OK. But keeping track of who you have added data to (like a death date) would be a real pain. It would be better if TreeDraw established the link to the NULL column the first time, then the Update Text function would grab the additional data the next time around. I'm sure there must be a reason why it doesn't do this. I'm getting the impression that if you are frequently updating your family tree and want something to upload to a website, you will want to import from scratch each time and work as much as possible with the TreeDraw defaults (meaning minimal customization).
