This note made me pause to consider what exactly is not working in the current build (August 10) as far as GEDCOMs are concerned. I reviewed a recent GEDCOM that I had created (from a focus group) and I see that the "detail text" in my sources is not being exported (the sources are, the comments are, but the detailed text is not). So, I went back and started the export process again to check the options. On the main "GEDCOM Export" screen there is an option that says "Override Source Options - include all source information". Not knowing exactly what that was referring to I clicked "Help". "Help" says "if unselected, the information that is suppressed, according to the source detail options, is excluded from the GEDCOM export". Hmmm. Where would the "source detail options" be??? I went to "Options", "Customize", and then "Sources". I see plenty of options dealing with sources and reports, but none dealing with sources and GEDCOMs. The detail text and the comments are printing properly on my reports because I have those options selected.
This reminded me that one of the few things I really dislike about Legacy is that the options are scattered everywhere!!! So now I don't know if this is another one of those problems referenced by Sherry as being part of the focus group problems, or if this is a general GEDCOM problem not yet recognized, or if there really is yet another place somewhere that has GEDCOM export options. If it is the latter would some kind person please tell me where this option is located??
