You told Legacy to expect that people die at 82. You are saving a record
of an individual who lived longer then the expected time. Legacy flags
this as a potential problem.

You can:

(1) make the expected death age higher or
(2) click off the always check for potential problems option

Subject: [LegacyUG] Potential Problems bug on death age options?

I am still running build date of 4 Feb 2005 Legacy 5 deluxe on Windows
ME. I ran a File Maintenance check/repair. I just temporarily changed
some option settings as follows, and it is now generating a potential
problems pop up every time I "save" an existing individual who died at
an older age as noted. These individuals already have birth and death
info entered.

I have under Options ->Customize -> Data Entry
to set as dead if over 82, if there is no death date [was set to 100]
and ask if living if over 78 [was set to 80]

Example of pop-up:
"Potential Problem"
Born 29 Jul 1842 and died 29 May 1927
Death Date after Age 82
The Death date shows that this person died after the age of 82 years.
Verify the dates.
Do you want to save this information?
[v] Always check for Potential Problems
[Yes] [No]

Has anyone had this happen? What is this error message? A bug? It
shouldn't be asking me since the dates are entered (hence "if there is
no death date" shouldn't apply). Plus, it should simply be duplicating
the fact the person is dead, and not even needing to ask. If this is a
bug, was it corrected in a later build? [I looked at Legacy
troubleshooting guide and archives but didn't see anything related. I
could have missed it, though.]

Thank you.
Susan
