Thanks all. I understand what is happening now. I had set it at 82 because I wanted it to automatically mark as dead some new people I was entering from the census. I didn't realize it would flag people already in my database when I worked on their records. Silly me - of course it is flagging it as a problem for those who were older than 82 when they died.
I've set it back to 100!
