Thank you Toni, and Dennis and Anne, for confirming that this is a problem with the program and not just me and my machine. I'll wait for the fix. Last year this time I was waiting for them to fix a problem that wouldn't allow source citations for marriages to be printed in the Descendant Book Reports - - problem reported on 7 September 2004 and not fixed until after the first of the year.

Jim,
I have the same problem, which began with the June 12th build.
I sent copies of my back up files to Ken who wrote on Aug 16th
that he had found the problem and it would be fixed on the next
build for v. 5 & 6, and it would be "soon".
All messages were written under "Export to Legacy File" and
should be in the archives ...
I was trying to do the same thing, splitting various people off the
main file ... but my problem was not having the parents of the people
who married into the family being moved ... but blank marriage records
were created in the new files? And I had check the parents of tagged
records box ...
Toni

Subject: [LegacyUG] exporting to new Legacy file

I have been trying to divide my file by splitting between my wife's families and my own. It seems that multiple spouses are not being exported unless there were children involved. But this seems to be in the case of a "partial export", like when exporting just one family line. When I exported ALL of my combined data base into a new file - All spouse were included, whether they produce children or not. I get the same result whether using Split Screen View or tagging and exporting tagged individuals. I "think" that I have selected "ALL Spouses" where ever that option is given. I split out another family line a couple of weeks back and did not have this problem... but, that was before I updated to the build of 10 August. Prior to that point I was using the build of 3 February 2005.
I'm using the Deluxe version of Legacy with XP Home.
Can anybody else duplicate this problem?
If not, can you suggest where I may have gone wrong?
