This was all talked about some months ago. One program that was recommended was ACDSee. I tried it out and find it pretty useful. The beauty is that you can actually see the photo while you type whatever you want in a notes box. You can print the picture with your notes under it, add captions, whatever. Then, you can actually search for those words and sort your entire database.
The comments don't show up in the Legacy file. Someone said in that other thread months ago something about entering the text in the EXIF section, but I don't know how to do it. I just keep everything in ACDSee so that I can move, edit whenever I want. The help desk has been very helpful and there is a free 30-day trial. However, they are in Canada, so beware of charges on some cell phones. Warning: you CANNOT move the pictures or rename them anywhere else or ACDSee can't find them. Then you have to do a database repair within ACDSee. Then you paint the blank space white and change to the text tool and add your text. At least with the older version of PaintShopPro that I have, you use the Enlarge Canvas option. I would imagine most others have a similar operation .. check the Help file. -- Dennis M.
