Hi Don,

I really am puzzled now. After downloading v6 I checked the content of the Legacy/Backup folder and they are the same as they were before and I did ask the installer to backup to that file.

It would seem, therefore, that Legacy overwrites it's existing files. BTW I have no data, picture etc folders in the backup folder, these I keep in Legacy/Data.

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Uninstall Previous Versions-Backup Folder?

No, I am referring to Legacy/Backup on my C: drive. It was left behind by the install as were various folders containing data, i.e., Data, Pictures, Web, etc. This is not unexpected, but I am concerned that 37 MB is a considerable piece of space to be wasting, if it is in fact wasted.

Hi Don,

I take it that you are referring to the zip file. If so you only need the
current copy. Personally I overwrite the existing one so that I only ever
have one.

I have uninstalled Ver. 5. The Legacy/Backup folder that is left behind
still holds over 37MB of files. Some of them are quite large and seem to
date back as far as Legacy 2 and 3.

Is it safe to delete any/all of the files in this folder?
