Legacy 6 is here and I like it.

The first thing you see is the Legacy Home tab. Great for reminders of coming due to-do's, birthdays and anniversaries and News.

The redesigned buttons give Legacy a more elegant look. I don't know if they are more difficult to see than in v5 or just different but I initially had to wait for the tooltips to pop-up to figure out what some of them are. But, like with any new application, you do get used to them after a short while; I don't need tool tips anymore.

The Publishing Center is something I have wanted for a long time and appears to now work well except for one annoyance.

When adding/insering chapters, the chapter's target individual defaults to the individual highlighted in the family or pedigree view, the subject person in the chronology view or the root person in the descendant view.

You can also change this in the main Publishing Center panel either through the current person selection "Change" button at the top to select a new individual for the next chapter addition or, the "Change Person in Current Chapter" button near the bottom to change the individual for the highlighted chapter or, by editing the settings for each of the chapters added to he book.

The annoyance is that editing a chapter's settings changes the chapter's person to that person selected for new additions instead of keeping the person already selected for that chapter. I'm sure this will be fixed soon.
