The books I first built were ancestor books and the index was fine with no duplicates.

I'm not sure why you told me to do this but I did ... Ancestor Chart from me and Descendant Book from my grandfather. The overlap names were repeated in the index: one entry with the RIN's and one entry without the RIN's. My Descendent Book was set to RIN's but my Ancestor Chart was et to no RIN's.

Hmm ... So I set both chapters to show RIN's. No more name index duplicates. Then I set both chapters to not show RIN's. Still no duplicates.

An then I added a Pedigree Chart to that same Book. It ran fine.

Create a Legacy 6 book with a descendant REPORT for one of your parents and
an ancestor CHART for yourself. Look at the index to see if your name is
listed twice and the names of your parents are each listed twice.

Do *not* attempt to use the Pedigree Chart in a Legacy 6 book because that
seems to cause a blank page or a lockup of the computer.

I've sent a JPG screen capture to one of the list participants and will also
send to anyone else who wants to see Legacy 6.0.0.60 Deluxe (Sept 7 build)
index sample created on a WinXP system. -- Elizabeth
