Ed, I can't manage your request over a slow dialup, but this v.6
"unusable" thing would be a concern to all, of course. This reply is
simply to report that I retained my v.5 in /Legacy5 and also installed
v.6 standard in /Legacy 6. I have had no problem opening my database
with either version.
Thus it would seem that something went wrong with your installation??

I'd sure like to know if it's just me seeing this problem with the new

The file is original-herring.fdb in that folder; the other files are
snapshots from mid-merge.
Legacy has been 100% unusable to me since upgrading to the new file
format.
