I can't help but think that what I've been seeing in event notes with V6 and
your "spurious differences in the notes" are somehow related.
If I click "Edit" for an existing event that already has notes from the
Individual's Information Screen, the Edit Event screen with the pre-existing
note is displayed. If I make no changes at all and click "Cancel" I get the
message "If you continue you will lose the changes you made in the notes.
Are you sure you want to cancel your edits?"
For some reason, V6 thinks I've changed the note, which I have not. Does V6
apply some formatting to a V5 note when it's opened?
Curious.
