I was also not able to duplicate your problem Beverly using the 11 August build of Version 5.

The only way I could get a change to carry over to other occurrences of the source was to click on the edit source button instead of the edit detail. When I did that and made a change I was presented with a warning screen asking if I wanted to apply the change to ALL occurrences of the source or to save the change as a new copy of the source.

It is clear to me that each time you save a source detail it is an independent copy, even if the same detail is a source for many facts on the same person. I have always had to go to each occurrence of the source detail and edit them separately to fix errors.

Hi,

Today I tried (not for the first time) to use the Source Clipboard to assign
the same source (Census details) to a number of family members, including
Source Detail and Actual Source Detail Text.

Fine... wonderful... a great time saver... however, when I return to edit in
any way the Source Detail of each individual - e.g. to bold the name of that
particular individual, I find that as soon as I "bold" one name, it
automatically "bolds" the same source record of each family member.
