Dave,
It looks like they fixed this same problem in the General Notes that
was discovered in September but never fixed it in the Edit Event screen.

No you're not. It also keeps popping up for me and I don't use any
formatting codes. :-(
I'm unable to determine what's causing it, however I have noticed that when
I type in an empty notes window that the font being used is not the same as
the one that the notes are saved as (and that I've selected in the options).
I don't know whether this has any connection with the "false"? Abandon
Changes message.
