Greetings All, Has anyone else been working with Legacy Family Tree under Linux??
I am working to get it running under the WINE Windows API Emulator (or whatever one wants to call it - http://www.winehq.com ) and also under the commercial application by Codeweavers called CrossOver Office for Linux - http://www.codeweavers.com . I'll report back here periodically on my progress (or lack thereof) in case others are interested. If I get no response/interest from this list, I will just keep my mouth (or keyboard) shut and not say anything, unless I am totally successful. I am not a programmer, but I do support Unix at work and have played with Linux on and off for over 10 years, so I should be able to have reasonable success with testing it out and getting it working. Some have had success under CrossOver Office (CXO) but as far as I know, no one has attempted to get Legacy 5.0 to work. As an aside, I've migrated almost everything from Windows over to Linux applications, but Legacy is a definite application I want to keep.
