I agree - a Local Site field would simplify things a LOT.

Yes I agree.  This would be much less awkward than having to play around
with entering data into the event address list in a way that will read
properly on reports.

To the developers:

Is Legacy ever going to include a Local Site field as is included in
some other genealogy software programs?

This is linked to the Place field, and is where you can enter something
like: Mercy Hospital, 111 Smith Street. In reports it then is rendered:
Mercy Hospital, 111 Smith Street, Anytown.

It should be available for all events including Born, Baptised, Died,
Buried and Married.

I am sure this is one wish that many other users would share.
