Hi Benoit, like you, I'm a week-long user of Legacy, coming from FTM.
I like the feature of linked photos instead of imbedded photos but I'm
sure not everyone does. I have discovered that an add-on program
called Charting Companion for Legacy does bow-tie charts, similar to
hourglass ones. Hope this helps.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Hourglass report?
Greetings.
I am a new user of Legacy 6.0 Deluxe. I had been using Family Tree
Maker for years but was frustrated by some of its shortcomings
(mainly regarding data management).
After spending the last 3-4 days getting acquainted with Legacy, I
must admit that it has great features (love those master lists, the
Geo DB, US county verifier, tagging features, etc.). I am, however,
a bit disappointed with two things:
1. Pictures. There doesn't seem to be a way to embed the pictures
into the family file. Therefore, I have to manage a separate
"database" of picture files, which clutters my data folder (or
whichever folder I designate as such). I know this was documented on
the site but I still would qualify this as an annoyance.
2. The customization level offered by some of the charts is
insufficient. I have yet to find a way to generate a vertical
descendancy chart and I haven't seen a way to generate what FTM
called an "hourglass chart". This is basically a descendant and
ancestor report on the same page, for a selected individual. Is it
hidden somewhere or is this specific chart just not available in
Legacy?
