I have to agree, Diane. One reason I won't download other peoples' GEDCOMs is because of the quality of information. Rather, I like to use other's information as a springboard to finding things out on my own. It's a starting place for me. IGI is a starting place. Millenia is a starting place. FamilySearch is as well. Numerous other sites too. I trust my own research, because I know that I strive to be thorough. But I also appreciate the work others have done. Without their prior research, I might not have a clue as to where to look next. To me, "it's all good".
