Richard,
It is not Legacy that is passing the pop ups, it is the way you have read
receits set up in your email program. In your email program under
tools=>Options then go to the receipts tab and there should be some options
about return read receipts. If you pick one that says 'always send read
receipt' and then check 'except when to a mail list...' you will then not
get these pop up messages.
The pop up is caused by somebody having set their email program to send
request for a read receipt.
