George,

I don't know where you found those instructions, which sound like
troubleshooting instructions for programmers, not the end user, but we do
have instructions on our website for fixing various errors which can be
encountered in Legacy. Whenever you get an error message within a program,
it's always best to go to the website for the program and look up solutions
to the errors there.

If you go to our website at http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp >
Solutions by Error Number, where you'll find a solution to this error
message.

Thanks for using Legacy.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Legacy 6.0 error 380

Hi listers,
I recently installed Legacy 6.0(Deluxe). I have been using Legacy 5.0 for
several years(or since it came out).
Everything has been working fine until I tried to install the most recent
update build. I wasn't successful in updating because it took so long to
install that my computer timed out.

Now, when I try to open my Legacy 6.0 program I get the following error
message:
LEGACY RUN-TIME ERR0R '380'---INVALID PROPERTY VALUE.
I went to the internet and found the information for this error. They said
to work around this problem, set the Visible property of the Mask Edit
control to True at design-time and then change it to False at run-time,
perhaps during the Load event of the form.

Those directions are a problem for me to understand, and I don't even know
where to locate the MASK EDIT CONTROL on my computer. Any assistance would
be most appreciated.
Thank you, George
