I have an idea that I'd like to explore further with the list if it hasn't already been covered. With the goal of adding color, visual information and interest to the printed pages of my book, I have been inserting an tiny icon of a sailing ship in the "preferred photo" position for my early ancestors who are the "Emigrant Ancestor". These are individuals for whom I don't have any other photographs. The little ship shows up on almost all of the data screens and in most of the printouts. It looks great.
To carry it a step further, I have begun to add a military insignia (as worn on military caps) to ancestors and co-laterals who served in the military. I think these ancestors should get special recognition. Now for the problem ... I have a cousin who served in the Marines and was awarded three (3) Purple Hearts in Korea; I also have his photo. I can't show his Purple Hearts and his photo as Legacy is now programmed. What to do? Wouldn't it be nice if in addition to "Title Pre." and "Title Suf." there was a slot to enter an visual "icon"? The "icon" could be used to identify ancestors who in addition to being the Emigrant Ancestor or military veteran was a clergy, doctor, elected government official (Pres., Governor, Congressman), etc. An occupation or award that is a bit out of the ordinary. I know the photo albums can be printed out and inserted into our books, but this little icon helps to breakup a page of b&w text, in addition to visually identifying special ancestors. Any thoughts?
