I don't think this is what Carol is asking for.
Would it be possible to add other features to the main screen to allow the
input of sources within that screen rather than clicking in the "show list
of assigned sources" icon

Although the Details entry screen does not have the usual sizing buttons
you can increase the size. If you use your mouse to grab a bottom or top
corner of the Details entry screen it will change to a double ended arrow.
Now hold down the left mouse button and drag the screen to a size you
like.
