I use Legacy Charting Companion, and have produced wonderful box charts, circle charts, and line charts - descendant, ancestor, ancestor with siblings, etc.

You can set the paper size - width and length so it all appears on one piece of paper (I create a PDF and get it printed by a printing company). You can set to the fonts you want, have picturs included, etc. When you open it, your Legacy file is right there.

Does Legacy Tree Draw or Legacy Charting Companion produce
drop down charts where all families, all descendants of a specific
father and mother are listed? I think these are referred to as royalty
charts sometimes and are used by therapists to enable clients to
sort out family interaction.

Thank you for clarifying this.

Tree Draw Legacy definitely has box charts.
What's a circle chart?
Do you mean a fan chart that shows all of a persons relatives?

I agree with Ann Parsons, who wrote about gedcomming out of Legacy
into FTM. That's
what I do with FTM 10. Thinking of upgrading to
FTM 2006. FTM makes nice charts easily. I used tree draw though
not the latest version. I like what you can get from
it's trees better
than what FTM will give you. Problem is that it's a
lot of work. So
I pretty much use FTM.
I've heard that Tree Draw is better with the
latest release, but I didn't
upgrade.

On this list I am a bit of a contrarian. Legacy does a great job on
research and data input. I would like to see the native graphical
output of the program greatly improved.
