I had discovered exactly that and was planning on submitting it as a separate issue. It seems to me that if I search on "Event-Name = Census" and add a second condition of "and Event-Date = 1787" I should at least have the option of stating "within the found set". This is how nearly every search engine in the world works.

I had decided after much pawing around in the issue that I will just have to fix it by "sledge hammer"!

I suppose you are thinking of tagging all individuals who use a
Census event, then performing a Search & Replace against these tagged
individuals for an exact Event Date of 1787 and replacing it with Jun
1787. This might not work because these tagged individuals might have
other events (different Event Type) with an exact date of 1787. You
might get lucky, but you will still have to take a look at each
replacement to make sure.
