I really think the marriage field should not be changed to reflect gay
marriages or religious ceremony for Nuns and their "gods". I'd like to see
it used for genealogy reasons to track marriages where the couples produce
children. Instead of politicizing it, let's concern ourselves with
genealogy.

I don't think there is a way to use the marriage fields, hopefully someone
will know more about the marriage fields.
How about an event such as Took Vows, there is a default event Ordination.
Took Vows kind of fits in with Confirmation, First Communion.

Just an odd thought--since I don't really know what I am talking about.

Don't the nuns marry God or Jesus? Wouldn't that qualify as a
marriage--with the husband as God and the marriage date/location
filled in? (ummm , with notes explaining it all?)

I have two elderly aunts, as well as numerous cousins, who are Religious
Sisters in a Catholic order of nuns. Their dates of profession are as
significant in their lives as is marriage in the lives of others. Is there
any way I can mark this event so that it prints out in the various reports
in lieu of the date of marriage?
