You -can- see all nine tags at the same time already, albeit in a different place. If you go to the Index tab, you can make all nine tags visible. This is what I have done, and I can immediately tell which "quarter" an ancestor belongs to (That is, paternal grandfather, paternal grandmother, maternal
grandfather, or maternal grandmother).

Isn't this what Ancsstor Color Coding does? The following from the Help file:

"Legacy has incorporated color-coding based on a system developed by Mary E.V. Hill, A.G. that is taught at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City. Adding color-coding to your organizational system helps keep your ancestral lines straight and promotes effective genealogy research.

Color-code your pedigree by the lineages of your four grandparents. All the ancestors of one grandparent will be organized under the same color:

Grandfather's lineage on your father's side: BLUE
Grandmother's lineage on your father's side: GREEN
Grandfather's lineage on your mother's side: RED
Grandmother's lineage on your mother's side: YELLOW"
