To complicate matters, when exporting using "GEDCOM 5.5 Only", the list of
items to exclude includes SSN. Excluding SSN does not even work since as
mentioned below the SSN is incorrectly exported as an event. Is this a known
bug? Is this in Legacy 5.0 only? or is the same behavior present in Legacy
6.0?
Thanks

Subject: [LegacyUG] Legacy GEDCOM Export SSN
I am contemplating updating from Legacy 5.0 Deluxe to 6.0. Most of the
features in the new version such as the research help is of no interest.
Since I export for display via PhpGedView, it is the GEDCOM export issue
that is of interest. I will post each GEDCOM question in it's own post
Legacy 5 (Can I assume that 6 is the same) exports Social Security in
GEDCOMS in the following format.
1 EVEN 123-45-6789
2 TYPE Social Security Number
Why is this used instead of the valid GEDCOM
1 SSN 123-45-6789
or
the country agnostic
1 IDNO 123-45-6789
2 TYPE Canadian Health Registration
1 IDNO 123-45-6789
2 TYPE Social Security Number
? The reason to do it this way is so that I can better control the display
of such data to public. I know that I can control this when I export it
from Legacy, but I would like it in the GEDCOm so that admins can see the
data.
Thanks
